What’s a “Bopper?”
When you saw the name of my blog, Bopper and Baby, you probably thought to yourself, “what the heck is a ‘bopper’ anyway?”
Well simply put, I am Bopper, Bopper Squealini. My husband, Austin, has a sort of knack for coming up with the best, most creative nick names for everyone. He coined the name a few years back. He claims he came up with it because I “bop” around the house when I am hyper and am “squealy” when I am whiny and needy. So there you have it, my two alter egos combined to make one very original nick name that I wouldn’t trade for anything.
So who am I? My real name is Ashley, but I mostly go by Bop, Bopper, Bop-squee, Squee, Squealer, Squeal-town or Squealandra. I married my seriously funny, quick-witted, smart, super-sweet, down right good looking husband in the Summer of 2011 and we’ve been partying ever since. He really is the yin to my yang, or whatever they call it. We were both born and raised in Utah and just moved to New York. We are crazy in love with our beautiful little girl and the life we’re creating together as a family of three. This blog is dedicated to documenting our journey as first time parents – the good, the bad, and all the little bumps and bruises along the way.
Oh, and PS: I am still trying to come up with a nickname that’s just as unique for Austin-I am open to suggestions!
